Many sight-threatening conditions have no symptoms in their early stages. Our Retina Wellness Screening is a quick, non-invasive look at the back of both eyes, for adults 18 and older without current eye symptoms who want a clear picture of their retinal health.

This screening is a good fit if you:

Are nearsighted (myopic): Nearsightedness raises the risk of retinal detachment: roughly 4× at −1 to −3 diopters, 10× beyond −3, and over 20× beyond −9. Early tears and thinning are often painless and silent.
Have a family history of retinal detachment.
Have a parent, brother or sister with macular degeneration: This raises your own risk roughly 3–4×.
Just want a look, for peace of mind.

Register Online: Book your slot online and pay the flat fee when you schedule.
Imaging: Our technicians capture widefield retinal photographs (Optos) and macular OCT scans (Heidelberg Spectralis) of both eyes.
Specialist Review: Your images are reviewed by a fellowship-trained, board-certified retina specialist.
Your Results: A written report with your images is sent to your patient portal within 3 business days. If your screening shows something that needs further attention, we will call you to discuss the findings and your options for an office visit.

Flat Fee: $65
How it works: A simple, all-inclusive price that covers your 10-minute imaging session and the specialist's review. It is paid by card when you schedule. It is not billed to insurance.

Please Note

This is an imaging screening, not an eye exam. It does not replace a dilated eye exam, a glasses check, or a glaucoma check.

If something is seen: We will call you to discuss the findings and your options for an office visit. An office visit is a separate medical visit and is billed to your insurance as usual.
Symptoms or known eye disease: If you have vision changes, flashes, floaters, eye pain, diabetes, or known eye disease, please call (904) 666-5050 to schedule a medical eye visit instead.
